Hi everyone!  i just signed up here to see if anyone has ANY info on a new metal band in PA because i'm not exactly in the loop.  on sunday(i think) i was walking to 7-11 downtown and i heard a band playing in one of the houses near there so i stopped and listened for a couple of minutes and it was INSANE!  i've been to shows around pa and stoon and i can't say i've heard them before, but i could be wrong.  Very meshuggah sounding polyrhythms and off time stuff and low tuned guitars.....anyway it was heavy as fuck!  if anyone knows who they are, pleeeeeeeeease tell me.  thanks!

Only four bands in PA that I know about doing anything like metal and none of em practise down by the Flat area, all on the Hills.

chad and cheech from Cessate?!  wicked!  Stabicide is an interesting name.  i'll have to make more frequent trips to 711 and keep my headphones OFF.

HAHAHA!  I sure could use some "stabicide" down here in the west flat!  Damn wannabe gangsters and their sharpened butter knives.

Revidevakernackerwa ffermaker, if the band you heard was indeed coming from the depths of my shitty lower middle class house, then the name is "Scabicide".  Though it probably was us because I honestly don't think the country guitarist that lives 2 houses away would be playing any sort of polyrhythmic music reminiscent of Moreshuggah(plz).

What you heard was us trying to mathematically figure out exactly how crappy I am at guitar.  It worked.  The answer is 7...give or take a couple of points depending on the inebriation variable.   Just kidding, it was our first practice.

Now stop stalking me.

dude, that was your first practise?!  fuck me sideways!  i'm huge into bands like shuggah, textures, periphery, etc, and i must say your stuff was off the wall as far as timing goes.  who are the other guys in the band?  your drummer was off the hook!  sorry i'm a little excited, i've been stoked about this shit since sunday.  i suggest you play a show so i don't have to resort to stalking you Tongue

Well, that's reassuring...*cough*

Members?  Myself, Cheech, and a bass player who doesn't want his name published because he believes the internet is out to get him(.....?).  I can't tell you who the drummer is, we've been sworn to secrecy...literally .  I'll post the final line up when I have confirmation from the other guys because it's a fresh project and I don't want people to get their hopes up or something.

If we can shuffle our schedules together and everything goes to plan, you should start seeing our name on show posters within the year.

So if you can hold off on the stalking until then, yea...that'd be great.

All I have left to say on this subject is: Prepare.

Oh man, my tent has been pitched for this ever since I first heard about it. How can you not get excited for a band that's like the morbid, beaten-up, red-headed hatechild of Strapping and Shuggah? It's truely too awesome for words.

We didn't want to chance it with a red-head...too risky.  So instead, we've got Cheech.   Know that I think of it, I really don't know what's worse.

I solve my problems and I see the light
We gotta plug and think, we gotta feed it right
There ain't no danger we can go to far
We start believing now that we can be who we are

Grease is the word
They think our love is just a growing pain
Why don't they understand, It's just a crying shame
Their lips are lying only real is real
We start to find right now we got to be what we feel

Grease is the word
Grease is the word, is the word that you heard
It's got groove it's got meaning
Grease is the time, is the place is the motion
Grease is the way we are feeling

We take the pressure and we throw away
Conventionality belongs to yesterday
There is a chance that we can make it so far
We start believing now that we can be wo we are

Grease is the word
Grease is the word, is the word that you heard
It's got groove it's got meaning
Grease is the time, is the place is the motion
Grease is the way we are feeling
This is the life of illusion
Wrapped up in trouble laced with confusion
What we doing here?

We take the pressure and we throw away
Conventionality belongs to yesterday
There is a chance that we can make it so far
We start believing now that we can be who we are

Grease is the word
Grease is the word, is the word that you heard
It's got groove it's got meaning
