....is looking for a guitar player. Our main focus with this "reunion" is to record the pre "guitar player who quit to become a BAC and ruined everything" material that we wrote. We are heavy basic groove metal, no arithmatic or astrophysics type riffs, just your basic meat and potatoes heavy as shit tunes. We will do shows again, to knock off the rust but the main goal is to record. For an idea of the shit PM me and I'll send you some shit.

Hardly anybody knows this, but there used to be Suffersurge tracks hidden within Saskmetal, I wish Brent didn't take them down...

If I didn't know who John Myung was, that'd sound awfully dirty. But no matter what way you look at it, you have yourself a deal!!

hahaha, well you better tune down to B and add 10 frets to your bass. But I don't think you should be hauling gear anymore Todd, you might break a hip or something old timer.  grin

I'm pretty excited about this project, Suffersurge was one of my favourite Regina bands.  I look forward to learning the old Surge tunes and writing some new songs and performing them live.

It was fun playing those songs, and even though I'm the new guy, it felt like old times.  I don't think it's going to take us very long to get those songs honed to perfection.

RFT5 - The Return of Rock For Telemiracle (The Exchange Jan 25/26)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE PRAIRIE PROPHET SPEAKS! After a year hiatus Rock 4 Telemiracle is returning with 2 shows and 8 bands to give you a whole lot of music for a good cause.

Bands that have confirmed with me are Psymatik, Stillseed, The Fifth Dawn, Chemical Horizon, and the return of Suffersurge!  Tickets will be available in the 1st week of January from Giltees for sure, other locations will be announced as well.

More details to come, including the final lineup and who plays on what days, ticket prices, show times and all that fun stuff.

As with the previous installments of RFT, all proceeds for these shows (after costs of venue rental and sound) will go to Telemiracle this year.  In the past I've always presented the moneys to them during the showing, but don't know if a trip to 'toon is in the books this year.  I suppose that really doesn't matter.

A thanks in advance to the help from anyone who has/will be helping with this event, to the bands who have agreed to donate their time and talent, and of course to anyone who shows up to support this great cause.

I'm looking forward to these shows very much so, hope to see as many people out there as possible!
