I heard their new single on the Wolf. One word.... horrible.  I was very disappointed.

Yeah, it's pretty mediocre. I really like the chorus of My Violent Heart, though, even if the title is kind of stock/cheesy.

here's my two cents

not as revolutionary as with teeth was for him cause that album was more of a "hey what the hell? he's switched to more straight up in your face hard rock with subtle electronica in beneath to show the industrial edge"

this one shows more of the industrial edge and experimentalism you would expect with 808 drums all over the place and other recognizable samples.

i personally wasn't impressed by survivalism but my violent heart was a great reminder of why i love the capability of synths with crazy huge oscillators as well as just the genre of industrial in general.

for me this stuff just makes me want to save my pennies more and more to get a korg radias to add to the side of my ms2000 to start jumping in on doing this kind of stuff for a solo project.

So for me i still find the new stuff, albeit different from with teeth, inspiring.

can't this be linked to the G'n'R tracks review?

NIN should suffer a slow and painful death.  Preferably buried alive, or possibly some sort of ritual sacrifice by fire...  Either will do.

Ah, the classic comeback vocabulary. How original.

Why not stick with what works?
