Very nice. I wish I could hybrid pick like that. I'm ok at it, but nothing near that level.

Pretty amazing stuff.

Ever see this video?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxdOq-wifUc

I had to watch this twice when I first found it, I couldn't believe what I was seeing or hearing.

Anyone ever heard of Tommy Emmanuel? He's by far my favorite acoustic guitar player. He's from Australia. Here's a few links:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Db_Wdlde0hU

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=obh1x2z6cOI

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xf3EYTiDoXk

And this one here is probably the MOST origional use of the guitar ever. Tommy Emmanuel in my opinion is one of those guys who has MASTERED so many guitar techniques it's not even funny. Anyway, this song is worth a good listen.

the 1st guy was crazy good at that travis picking style, its not so much hybrid, i think hybrid u need to use a regular pick and the rest of your fingers, but i have been rong

that other guys is CRAZY accurate with hit harmonics it made me cry but i think i like tommy E the best, closley followed by the tapping guy tho

The best part about Eklundh is that he never uses any pitch shifting effects. It's all natural.

Here's another version of Tommy E. "The Hunt" This version looks like it was a few years after the other one I posted because he's added a lot to it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOp6j1_sn-g

Here's another from John McLaughlin:

John McLaughlin is essential guitar listening. If you've never heard of him check out the recording "Friday Night In San Francisco"

Great guitar playing. Simply great. No shortage of ideas or talent there. Thanks for posting those.

Andy M, good video.

He's good for sure but he lucked out with the whole YOUTUBE thing. it's practically made him famous. HE's got over 10 MILLION views on that song. Not all from that vid as it's one there more than once.

Thare's another guy on the same label as Andy. His name is..... shit, i forgot it. It's french. I'll see if I can find it and post toorrow. He's a good player.

Yes, Antoine Dufour is the gut i'm thinkin' of. This is such a good song. I also beleive he is Canadian. He won the Canadian fingerstyle thingy last year or the year before.

He also has a song up where he uses this weird capo.

Good post man.

Yes, the 24th Caprice.

This video is completely insane. I can't imagine this poor girl has any friends or much of a life. There is another one similar to this on YOUTUBE. It's another asian girl doing a concert playing the same piece. I'll dig it up. it's a little sicker than this one iif that's even possible.

Great videos Ian. The third one was the one i was thinkin' of.

The first 2 are famous classical peices. I have heard the songs but never had a chance to see a performance. Both videos were really good.

Here's Stanley Jordan doing his version of Stairway. CAUTION: THIS VIDEO MAY MAKE YOU WANT TO PUKE. While the rest of the world was learning Super Mario theme on their guitars this guy was doing this.

Also another Rodrigo Y Gabriela, this one rocks!
