English, you're a traitor.

Say you're going to jam w/ me, and all you do is post about how you wanna join a band.

Just for that, I spite you.

And you've hurt my feelings, really.

I spoke with him too and he never came across.
Maybe it's all a front. He tells his girlfriend he was rock star back in England and will be huge now that he's in North America...If he can only find the "Right" guys to play with.
But in secret he cant play a note.
It's a sham I tell's ya!!

Actually, Matt's a retardedly good guitarist, I'm the dude's friend.  He joined a band, but that kinda fell right through.  It's just his style that's totally different from everybody elses (major influences by Silverchair/Dreamtheater/Opeth).  So all in all, you're full of talking smack, you don't know the guy, he's an awsome guitarist, and you should shut up.  Yes, I'm fucking crabby.

I actually have met the guy, dont know him well, but i was only joking about him being a fraud. Sarcasm doesnt flow well via type.
I did think it was funny how many people have reached out to him with no results though. That's all I'm sayin'.
I also have ta agree with Cryptochicky.
Silverchair? Quite the odd throw in with the other two influences.

But hey, I'll leave it up to him in the year 2000.

Yeah, see that was sarcasm as well.
I keep mixing up who Silverchair is.Are those the three kids with the Braveheart "fag" prince hair cuts who sang MMM bop?

Once again, sarcastic pun.

Actually it is amazing how many times in life we like a band or a song but wont admit it because we are TOO metal. Closet music lovers. It's cowardess but it's true.

Most of the time I have trouble admitting it to myself... Sometimes i'll get right into a shitty song and think I like it, then i'll listen to it two weeks later and thank god I was just on drugs that day.

A Classic case of this was 'Party Starter' by Will Smith... Bless the solitude a car provides when you're being an ass

I really dig "Country Boy" By Ricky Skaggs.
The playing is monstrously talented but I admit I like the harmonies and the melody too.
You'd have to wrestle the IPOD out of my hands to see what kind of crap is amongst the gems. I kinda like K-OS too but my brother plays and writes for K-OS so I'm kinda biased. Also, for hip-hop, it's amazing how much guitar and live music is actually in the tunes.
Some old Michael Jackson,Mr Big,Lit?
I know,I know, I've just sold my credibility for a cheap laugh.

OL' SCHOOL EAZY E and all that OLD GANGSTA GANGSTA SHEEIT still occupy space on my comp...i remember when it first came out, i was juss a youngin and man-o-man the swearing I heard was astronomically bad, I loved it for the novelty of the swearing, then it kind of grew on me...but I will make something clear, anything younger than 10 years is crap and should never be listened to.

I got into it because my grandma told me I was going to hell for listening to metallica, so, I compromised...FUCK THA POLICE!

what horrible/shitty songs do I like?

Paul Brandt - That's the Truth (Dunno, it's a weird country song, but I like it.)
Motograter - Down (Everybody I know HATES them.  But I like 'em.)
Silverchair - Cemetery (Yaw, sue me. It's a good song.)
Kittie - Brackish (Another everybody I know this song gets on their nerves.)

Otherwise, I have too many.  I like almost all genre's of music, and I have really weird tastes.  Now all of you can laugh.

I can stand up for most of the nonmetal stuff I like, so it's not like I'd call it 'horrible/shitty'...for instance, Suzanne Vega's 99.9 Fahrenheit is an awesome album, I don't care what anyone says...it's like industrial folk.

Pretty much the only truly guilty pleasures I have are certain bands where I like one CD of theirs but dislike almost everything else, so I can understand why people hate them...like, Korn is a pretty fucking terrible band on the whole, but I still like their Life is Peachy album; the drumming's really funky and complex on that disc, whereas every CD after that it sounds like he's doing his worst Lars Ulrich impersonation. And Jonathan Davis's vocals are relatively raw on parts of that CD, whereas he just kept getting fatter and whinier and more Kevin Federlinish after that...fuck, why am I even bothering to defend Korn? Okay, that CD is my guilty pleasure.
