Yeah I gotta add to this as well.

You guys pretty much just rock, and were awesome last night, as always.  Hope to play more with you in the future.

Just in case anybody missed the thread I posted in the General Forum...

Activate played at the Gaslight on the weekend for Redbeards birthday bash. Due to a lack of communication between our band members... we left some of our gear behind. It was a blue milk crate with a whole bunch of bits and pieces in it. There was Andrew's Line6 DL4 digital delay pedal, his Boss TU-2 pedal tuner, and his Boss GE-7 Equaliser pedal, and a whole bunch of patch cables and power cables.

I went to the Gaslight today and I did not see it there.

If any of the other bands, or ANYONE knows where this might have went.. please let me know!!!!!!

Thanks
-Byron & Activate

Edit:
Oh.... and I just remembered that my bass distortion pedal is in there too.

Hello everyone,

The gear has been found. I would like to personally thank Justin Bender for his help in the situation.

Dear Activate,

Please hurry up and release your CD. I can no longer be held over by the song on your myspace, which is awesome by the way.

Dear Greg,

We're almost done. For real this time. In fact we need to be done before you guy's hit the studio so we don't get mixed schedules and accidently start a band I will cleverly call The Fifth Activate.

Everyone should check out our myspace account that we actually have some stuff on now.

www.myspace.com/activaterock

Rough cut of one of the tunes from our album on there.

Also, everyone should come out to the Exchange on Saturday for what will be our last show for a while because I'm ditching Regina for the summer. But I will be back late August so we can continue the onslaught.

Evan I definetly plan to be there. I also think we should cleverly combine our bands, call ourselves that, and do Maiden covers for the rest of our lives.

No June cd release unfortunately. All the dates we wanted to do it in June were already booked at pretty much every venue in town. Boo-urns.

Perhaps The Fifth Activate will make its debut in June though. Me and Greg are on it like white on rice.

pity about the cd release, but oh well, we'll see if there is a show (besides the hardcorish one in another thread) when we're in town (which is June 2-16th) and I'm sure we'll catch a gazillion Activate shows once we move to Regina for real Smiley I regret not paying enough attention to you guys at the benefit, I was too preoccupied with Dan and his family most of the time  undecided

So anyways...

I noticed that the Activate thread only has three pages and The Fifth Dawn thread has like nine. I decided it is not acceptable for The Fifth Dawn to have more pages than Activate. So I decided to make a post in our idle and boring thread.

The second (but less important) reason I am posting is because I figured I would mention our Cd Release show.

We are playing at The Exchange on the 15th of December to release our first album. It is entitled "Act I Scene I: Time is the Enemy." It was recorded over the past year. Unfortunately we only had about 4 days to mix the fucking thing since it NEEDED to be done in order to send it to the manufacturing plant in order for it to be sent back in time for us to sell it it at the show. Everyone in the band except for me thinks it sounds good. So we'll go with the majority opinion.

The band lineup is as follows (in order of performance):

FIO
The League of One
Hot Blood Bombers
Activate

We were going to get The Fifth Dawn featuring Byron Chambers to play as well.. but they couldn't... and the only explanation I was given was:

"Pierre is a bitch."

Which is a shame... because it would have been one step closer to the much anticipated "Fifth Activate" project.

It is 8 dollars in advance.. and 10 dollars at the door. It is at The Exchange. And if you don't know where The Exchange is.. then you probably don't know who Activate is.

Greg Berner can come to the show for the very low price of one Shure Beta 52, one JTS NX-2, and 2 microphone cables.

No more, no less.

Anyone looking for a Genz Benz head with a Peavey 4x12? I've got one up for grabs.
