We've got a "What non-metal are you listening to?" thread which answers that question!

Is the site called SaskUnmetal? Cheesy
Hey man, it's your thread, we'll see how it goes. I think I'll start a thread called "what were you listening to?" and move all the "what are you listening to?" posts there once someone supercedes their own previous post. Then I'll start a "what have you bought but is still shrinkwrapped?" thread. Then I'll stop being cocky. Redundancy is one of my stronger qualities. I've also found that one of my personality traits is repeating myself.

A lot of the message boards I go to which use this same (or very similar) software have a little box at the bottom each time you post in which you can put what you are currently listening to. I'll see if Brent has that option.

I've always wondered why there wasn't one of these. I'll sum up my non-metal purchases of the last week.
Every New Day - The Shadows Cast
Judge - No Apologies/The "Chung King" Sessions
Give Up The Ghost - We're Down Til We're Underground
Wrecking Crew - 1987-1991
Merauder - Bluetality
The Life Aquatic Soundtrack
A few vinyls.

I asked Brent about the "now listening" box I mentioned above and it is not available for this version of forum software.

My most recent unmetal purchase I believe was Sarah Slean ~ Day One, killa album.  Also picked up Green Day's American Idiot recently.  And I'll probably go grab some mudmen soon.

Awesome disc.  It did suck that only the American version had the live DVD with it, but the extra waiting was worth it.

I can't wait until May 24 when their new album comes out.  The four songs I've heard off of it so far are really good.

I too recently purchased some Sarah Slean, not Day One however.  This would be because I already had that one.  I purchased a different one and fucked if I remember what it is called.

Oh Brother, Where Art Thou? is my next CD purchase.  I fucking hate country music with a passion, but bluegrass is country on steroids.

his new one is acoustic , eh? Have you heard The Ghost of Tom Joad? If so, is it like that? He writes the most sublimely beautiful and haunting tunes I've ever heard, so I will definitely be checking that one out.

yeah he is a great writer..it took me years before I would even breathe his name...because of the enormous hype around Born in the USA...I positively hated him because of Pink Cadillac (like I tried to get in good with the Ayatollah kind of hate). Then I saw him perform Youngstown on The Tonight Show (or Letterman maybe) and oh man...
almost cock tattoo time once I listened to that album (Joad). He's got the storytelling thing going on ...must pick that up.
