well i pull out my bass today,and the 8th fret on the 4th string wont work(makes that loud buzzing noise) and every other string works fine...

Either is needing a truss rod adjustment (bowed neck) or needs the action raised. If you have no idea how to do either of these things, take it to a tech like Harley said.

Most likely a truss rod issue. Anything higher than the 12th fret is usually an action problem, and anything lower is usually a truss rod problem. DO NOT fuck around with your truss rod if you've never done it before. I highly recommend taking it in to B-Sharp if you're in Regina.

Probably like 30 bucks at B-Sharp if you don't want the strings changed.

Ya no kidding. I don't imagine there's a significant price difference, but I've always had MUCH better service at B-Sharp, and they're the only people I trust with my gear.
