It would be better if it wasn't from Sam Dunn. I'll probably check it out regardless since it's Rush.

Killer flawed movies. Did you not see A Headbangers Journey? Movie was only rad when he hung out with Dio and Mayhem. His mega lulzy "genre timeline" was, well, lulzy.

But like I said. I'll watch this solely because it's Rush.

Nah. it would just be all opinionated like his. But at least I'd try and clean up that dastardly genre timeline.
Seriously. It's a huge lolfest.

I actually saw a lecture by the guy at Mount Royal. Ridiculously skinny dude. I don't know who got him there, but he just stood up there talking about his movies and then ended with a "We can pass the metals around the world and get new originality lolz I'm Sam Dunn" It was pretty strange.

also as a fluffer

Ugh. I couldn't imagine the lecture being any good at all.

And give me a break TLO. When you list Cradle of Filth under Norwegian Black Metal. DRI, CoC, and Dillinger Escape Plan under Metalcore. CoB, Sepultura, and Pantera under Thrash. And make up a genre called "Pop Metal"... you KIND OF lose credibility.
Also, Opeth, Katatonia, and Anathema are "Goth Metal"? UGH. STUPID. RAGERAGERAGE.
And when did "Swedish Death Metal" become a specific genre? Those bands may be from Sweden, but they fall into different genres themselves. Like hell Arch Enemy and Entombed are the same "genre".

I just need to stop looking at that list. The more I see it, the more I genre range; and that's something stupid to rage about period... but it's just such a flawed/bad chart.

I find the whole genre discussion stupid anyways, but I think he was trying to dumb it down a bit for the mass audience.

i don't like Sam Dunn either not because of flawed views on his metal sub genre time line, just the way he is usually gets under my skin ... although his metal sub genre time line IS stupid, I thought it was geared toward the general public ... I'd probably watch this anyways
