I am pleased to announce the revealing of my latest creations that have been keeping me busy for the last few months!

Below is taken from my myspace page.

Creative composites weaved into a vision...

Denys Lemire is an ex-lead guitarist for Regina, SK band's "Plagued Inferno" & "Stillseed", and is currently the sole member of 3 new projects of 2009 "The Antique Carnival", "Like Bird-Serpents & Rare Vicious Other Things", and "Giant, The". Denys discovered he was meant to be a song writer at an early age. He has been playing guitar since he was 12 and has never slowed down with his writing to this day. Most of his former work is more commonly recognized with six strings in a progressive metal representation, but as you will find on this page Denys has been branching out his creativity to more than just that.

On November 28th Denys will begin sharing a more classical/ambient side to his writing abilities with songs that some may have never expected of him. Denys hopes to take the listeners on a journey through stories that are vividly captured through timeless music. On the 28th either 2 or 3 songs will be revealed on this page and expect further updates to continue. So stop in and pay a visit. Music is for everyone's enjoyment and Denys hope's you enjoy his contributions to that enjoyment.

Until we meet again...

So as it states from the myspace page, on Saturday Nov. 28th I will be putting 2 or 3 brand new songs online.  This music has only been heard by 1 or 2 other people and it is some of the most creative work I have ever accomplished.  This is not going to be a live project, once you hear it and know that I am a guitarist, you will understand...  Not really a project that would normally be seen in "Saskatchewan Metal Bands", but there is no area for non-metal sask bands on saskmetal so this is where I put it.

Stay tuned for further updates.  In the meantime you can take a quick peak at my updated page.

You should follow this up with 9 cans of ravioli.

"I mean, no one wants to admit they ate nine cans of ravioli, but I did and I'm ashamed of myself. The first can doesn't count, but then you get to the second, and then the third--the fourth and fifth I think I burned with the blow torch and then I just kept eating."

Well I will be doing a regular cd release first before anything.  Likely in the Digipak casing...

Maybe after this is done, I will consider one of those antique methods.  It would be awesome to get vinyl done!

I'm glad people are excited to hear this.  I want everyone to know that this new material is not part of any of the projects i created this year.  It's very much different from the other stuff I've been creating, it is a very personal project but I want to share it with as many people as possible.

Stoked!

And Tom, I think you're really going to dig this stuff being a keyboardist/pianist.

Tomorrow I will be debuting 2 songs on myspace.  Not sure what time, maybe as early as 12:00am, maybe as late as mid afternoon.  Either way when they are up I will post a message on this thread for notification.

As it has been explained earlier this is not a metal project.  The music you will hear from this are my own compositions in an ambient/classical/orchestral type sound.  I hope many of you enjoy this slightly different side to my writing abilities.

A little Teaser...  The 2 songs I am debuting tomorrow are named below.

Quiescent Requiem  (7:08)

The Departed  (6:24)

stoked for tomorrow!   grin

I'm not sure if much of the songs would work well for that purpose.  However there are some future ideas that are in the early planning stages that no doubt would work well for that!

The songs were down for a bit around 9:30ish or so.  But that's since been dealt with, their back up for listening pleasure.  Thanks for the kind comments!

It's been about a month since I debuted the Denys Lemire "Ambient Compositions" project with two songs.

NOW YOU CAN HEAR MORE!

Please check out www.myspace.com/denyslemireofficial to hear 4 of my Ambient Compositions.

Albatross  (6:10)
Quiescent Requiem  (7:10)
The Departed  (6:25)
Autumn's Dead Leaves  (7:24)

"Albatross" was written for the love of my life Ashlie.  All the songs share similar meanings.  These emotional stories are captured in a musical ambience that has never been heard before in my previous writings.  I hope you enjoy these compositions.

I have done a bit of editing on all the songs so that is why the play counts are so low on Quiescent Requiem & The Departed.

Let me know what you think!
