A.M.P.  is a solo project from the lead singer of Datura from Nelson B.C.  He has moved to metal town Regina and started working on a new record. Only this time its all him. Guitars, drum programming and bass.  Influences include Soilwork, Gojira, Pantera, Cannibal Corpse, Slayer, Opeth and other metal greats. As well as a taste of other harmonic tidbits in genre bending style. Don't miss it!! and stay posted for new and groovy tracks this winter. cool

Sounds good. I really like your drum programming; it sounds very natural with a lot of nice fills.

i very much dig this project, would love to see it live with a well suited vocalist (good luck finding such in Regina)  (seriously, good luck, I really hope you find one)  (if you're looking that is)  (why so many brackets?)  (i think i've bantered long enough).  Keep up the good work!

I am tempted to throw down vocals myself, but I don't want it ending up sounding like what i did in Datura.   Something along the lines of the tune pre-human though.

I hear a lot of Soilwork influence in that song "Have Not", very Steelbath Suicide era, especially reminds me of the song The Aardvark Trail...

Good Stuff.

Just finished writing 2 new songs and a third bonus track is on the way... its unlike anything i have written before.  The songs are very diverse, ranging from a swingy groove rock/acoustic jazz jam, to a black metal speed riffer, and of course more of the precision groove and progressive.  Soon to be enjoyed by all, stay posted!

New track Posted at www.myspace.com/absentmindproject

The track is titled 'Walls'.. I did all the parts, including the vocals, myself.   The EP is nearing completion and I will be looking for players to gig with upon its release.  Hope you enjoy the new track and stay tuned for more of my re-releases featuring me on vocals!

Cheers with 100 beers.... exactly 100.

The EP or (whatever I'm calling it now)release date has been set for may 16th... It will be available in the local section in CD Plus in Regina as well as I tunes, or through me personally, just contact seanfolk@hotmail.com.  It is now including two new tracks making it 6 tracks in total.    The title of the disc is "Ruin Me."

Check out the latest track titled "Questions"  with what is probably my best vocal performance to date on record.  And the rest of the EP is free for streaming at www.myspace.com/absentmindproject.

Cheers fuckers.
