Shut off your mind. There's nothing to find.

blue album, for those of you who don't know is the new baroness album which is streaming here, http://www.myspace.com/yourbaroness, the follow up to red album, is an album that is best enjoyed with a joint in hand and through big headphones.  this seems like a pretty decent follow up to a great album.  at times the guitar tone is straight up gross other times it's straight up engrossing.  a couple surprises through out.  such as the almost country acoustic finger picking of black powder orchard, the general poppiness of songs like jake leg, among other things.  i criticized red album in the past due to a lack of direction, a lack of a "sound"  this album does not jump around.  it has a sense of direction throughout which is great but it lacked the heaviness of first, second, and red album.

Four out of five stars.

that's just my opinion though.  with blunt in hand, go see for yourself.

I prefer Weezer's blue album.

Here is a first impression, after my first listen to the Blue Record I'm not sure I dig it as much as the Red Album. Nothing specific yet just a first impression. We'll see after a couple o' more listens.
