Title: Darkest Hour - Deliver Us
Post by: Bryce on February 02, 2008, 02:29:33 PM
Perhaps not as raw and agressive as the previous release Undoing Ruin, this album is definitely a well displayed showcase of production, incredible guitarwork, and unadultered emotionally charged melody.  Maybe these guys dont chug and do gutturals, but fuck, do they ever rock hard.

Mentionable tracks :
Stand and Recieve Your Judgement
Starts off fucking mad.  Lyrically and musically assaulting as far as Darkest Hour goes.  A prime example of the tightness and chemistry of the band.

Fire in The Skies
Another kicker, lyricall one of my faves with lines like "So show me what it takes, to fall asleep on the eve of destruction"

Paradox With Flies
Best line on the album "We're in too deep, go back to sleep, and if this feels too synthetic then it's all been a dream"

Yeah... so I dig it a lot, and reccomend it.

Darkest Hour hasn't come out with anything good in a long time.
